Need a spare Renault key or lost all your keys? We program a new key for your Renault in our Ixelles workshop or on site, anywhere in Brussels and Belgium.
On the Mégane, Scénic, recent Clio or Captur, the key is a hands-free key card. A card that stops responding or shows “card not detected” is a common problem: we replace or reprogram it.
Replacement or reprogramming of a lost or “not detected” card.
Retractable blade; we also replace the shell when the hinge breaks.
Renault was one of the first manufacturers to replace the key with a card. On the Mégane and Scénic from the early 2000s, then on the Clio, Captur, Kadjar and Zoe depending on the version, the card goes into a reader or stays in your pocket if it is hands-free; you start with a button. Each card holds a small emergency blade to open the driver’s door. The Twingo, Kangoo, Trafic and Master tend to use a conventional or flip key with a remote, depending on the generation. With cards, problems often come from the battery, a cracked casing or buttons worn from being slipped into a pocket or wallet. The card reader inside the car can also be at fault: trying the second card helps tell the difference. Before a replacement, keep the existing card, even if faulty, and note the chassis number (VIN).

Start with the card battery. On many models you can also start the car by inserting the card into the reader or placing it where the manual indicates. If the second card works, the first one is at fault; if neither works, the reader or the car’s electronics needs checking.
Yes. The Trafic and Master vans, like the Kangoo depending on generation, use a bladed key with a remote rather than a card. Programming is still electronic: the chip in the key must be recognised by the vehicle. The quote is based on the year and key type of your van.
From €50 for the simplest keys. The price depends on the model, year and key type (blade, remote, hands-free). Send us these details for a free quote.
